Lodge Chief

The Lodge Chief is the senior youth leader of Pa-Hin Lodge. He oversees all operations of the Lodge, working through the elected Officers and any Committee Chairman he appoints. The Chief is responsible for the establishing and coordinating all Lodge Events. He represents Pa-Hin Lodge to the Northern Lights Council, the OA Section, and National Order of the Arrow

Lodge Vice-Chief, Committees

The Lodge Vice-Chief of Committees oversees all Committee operations. The Lodge Committees are how Pa-Hin Lodge conducts Lodge business and events; as such, the Vice-Chief, Committees is responsible for Pa-Hin's successful Lodge events. In addition, the Vice-Chief of Committees presides over Lodge Meetings in the absence of the Lodge Chief. Should the Chief vacate his position, the Vice-Chief, Committees automatically succeeds him as Pa-Hin Chief

Lodge Vice-Chief, Chapters

The Lodge Vice-Chief of Chapters is responsible for working with each of the Chapters. He provides support and advice to the Chapter Chiefs and is a often has meeting with the Chapters to know what is happening. The Vice-Chief of Chapters meets with each Chapter to discuss goals for the year, how the Lodge can support those goals, and coordinates Lodge programs that occur with the Chapters. He is also responsible for overseeing the Quality Chapter  program.

Lodge Secretary

The Lodge Secretary maintains the records of the Lodge. He records the minutes of all Lodge meetings, handles Lodge correspondence, and maintains the Lodge email list. Working with the Membership Advisor, the Secretary maintains membership records and notifies members of lapsed dues. The Secretary works on Brotherhood conversion and validates the eligibility of Vigil nominations.

Lodge Treasurer

The Lodge Treasurer is the keeper of the Lodge finances. Working with the Finance Advisor, he maintains the financial records of the Lodge and updates the Executive Committee as to their status. The Treasurer reviews the Chapter event budgets and records their receipts. He handles all cash at Lodge events and maintains the Lodge budgets.

Lodge Committees:

Lodge Committees are responsible for the operations of the Lodge

Lodge Executive Committee (LEC): The LEC is a special committee of the Lodge. The LEC discusses and approves Lodge business. A quorum of the LEC is needed to conduct and approve Lodge business.

The Lodge Executive Committee shall be composed of the Lodge Officers, Lodge Operating Committee Chairmen, immediate Past Lodge Chief, Lodge Adviser, Council Boy Scout Committee member(s), Chapter Chiefs, Chapter Advisers, Chapter Staff Advisers (D.E.s), and the Lodge Staff Adviser.

Activities Committee:  Chair -- Jermey (JJ) Q

Develop plans for events hosted by the Lodge and be responsible for carrying them out. Events under the direction of this committee include the Fall Conclave, Lodge Leadership Seminar, Winter Fellowship, and other Lodge events.

Ceremonies Committee: Chair -- Sam B; Co-Chair -- Josh G

Organizes and trains chapter ceremony teams. Provides instructions to members in Indian dancing, Indian lore, and costume making. Maintain an up to date inventory of ceremony equipment and administer all Lodge owned ceremonial equipment. Sees to the upkeep of ceremonial grounds and belongings.  

Membership Committee: Maintains a permanent record of each Lodge member. Work with the Lodge Secretary to continuously update the Lodge mailing list through careful checking of dues payment, new ordeal members, new brotherhood members, etc..., and be forwarding this information to the correct people. In November a letter should be mailed out to all active members not having the upcoming year's dues paid to remind them that in January they will lose their current year status if they do not pay.

Publications Committee: See that the Arrow is published periodically, as decided by the Lodge Executive Committee. Gain input from Arrowmen throughout the Lodge in finding articles for the Arrow.  Assist the Lodge Chief in printing and mailing any publication he sees needed between publications of the Arrow.  

Service Committee: Propose a yearly schedule of service and conservation projects (in consultation with the Council Properties Committee and Council Ranger(s) , obtain Council approval for these projects, and make complete plans for accomplishing them.  

Founders Award Committee:  Jacob H

Determines the Founder's Award for the Pa-Hin Lodge.   The committee shall be composed of the Chair, Lodge Chief, the Lodge Adviser, the Lodge Staff Adviser, an Ordeal Member, a Brotherhood Member, and a Vigil Honor Member.  This committee shall meet at least once per year.

Vigil Honor Committee: Nominate those that the committee feels deserve the Vigil Honor. Complete all necessary petitions, including the selection of Vigil names for each Vigil Honor candidate. Supervise the actual Vigil Ceremony at the Lodge Fall Conclave or a vigil special weekend.
